I must admit, a 2nd trip across the border in a week didn't really appeal to me, as i find the only credible thing to come out of Yorkshire is the tea bags. As the players came out of the tunnel to the freezing cold driving rain, and the Durham signature tune of On Ilkley Mor Bar Tat, the game got underway. Within 5mins Kelly smashed a 35yd drive against the crossbar, 5mins later he was off injured, Broosky on. Durham had a lively few mins with some wayword shots but Boro settled and off we went. Ricardo was put through on the right by a little Roscoe trickery and a superb final ball wich Ricardo smashed into the top righ hand corner,,, a Pigeon flew across the pitch,,, strange, was this a lucky omen ?. Boro were winning corners, left and right, Molly was unlucky with a powerfull header that was just wide, and so it continued. Back 4 were superb, Ally Brown flying up and the wing, Ben Manning having one of his best games for me, Molly and Conner rock solid. 2nd half, with Fozzy totaly dictating the midfield and Jona creatng havoc, Durham never looked like scoring. Manning delivered another corner, Molly smashed the Durham 6ft 9in centre back and Roscoe rose above the rest to power one down into the bottom left corner,,,, another pigeon flew across the pitch into the wild blue yonder,,,, sorry, the dark grey rain sodden yonder, ,,, strange? As the rain lashed down for the last 10mins Durham pushed hard but to no avail, Boro had bossed the game from start to finish and left the pitch to the applauding fans. 2 0 the BORO.........On leaving the ground an old bloke outside, flat cap, cloggs, pocket watch was releasing a pigeon,,,,,,,,,AHH, of course, how silly, shold have known, they were match reports for the Yorkshire post
