Youthfull in experience came to the fore last night,2 defencive errors and a penalty gave Curzon all 3 points. Curson are a good side, and to go in at half time 2 nill down left Boro with a hill to climb. Stray passes and being camped in our own half for good spells of the game ensured Boro had little chance of scoring. When we did break through final balls and quality crosses were lacking on this occasion. Boro worked hard, but Curzon were hard to breakdown, quick clinical passes kept Boro on the back foot. 2nd half penalty killed the game. Subs were made with around 20 mins to go, and probably the only credible chance on goal came from the lively Matty Ward as he got round the back of Curson. Boro worked hard no mistake, but it seemed to be one of those games that didn't click on the night. To their credit, Curson had done their homework on a few of our players. Gerry's done well so far, and i'm sure he'll have us back to winning ways on Saturday against Durham. Gerry did what he could with a young and injury ravaged squad, but on the whole one of those times you would rather forget................Just like the first time you met the mother-in -law.
