Diffrent formation proved a great success last night, Boro looked a totaly diffrent team right from the off. 2 goals in the first half and a totaly dominent Boro left Rochdale to come out for the 2nd half with a style of play that appeared to be for damage limitation purposes. Apart fro the odd flurry Rochdale never looked like troubling Caulkin until they were awarded a penalty late in the game. Boro's defence of Brown, King, Connor and Molly the terminator snuffed out any credible threat on goal. Jona ran the midfield with Kelly and Fozzy playing some great attacking movement supplying .the front men as lots of balls were played to feet. This type of play suited Roscoe as he controled the front line supplying balls to Sherlock and Manning who were a constant threat, Manning with some great crossing balls and link up play, Sherlock with the space to score 2 fine goals. On the whole some terrific football was played and more pleasing was that it was a real pleasure to watch.Let's hope we continue with this vein of football, ok, it was against a lower club, but after watching Unibond football for many years, i know a lot of our opposition would have struggled with us playing like we did and the system we adopted last night. The proof of the pudding is in the eating...... and if its as good as last nights pies were on the UP .................................
