After the superb defencive display against Curson on tuesday, let's hope we earn our well deserved 3 points today at Clithero. Fozy, Connor and Molly were all top draw, with a special mention for Nick Culkin who pulled off some superb saves throughout the match to keep us in the game right to the bitter end. Clithero's not the best place to go and hopefully they'll have cleared the snow and the sheep from the top corner ............................

Hold the back page: No rain or snow in Clitheroe !
Pretty much the first time I can remember visiting the big dipper ground without getting soaked. As ever the sausage shop was the highlight of the day, with the Morrocan spicy lamb offering pretty much worth the trip alone. As for the footy, not sure what the attendance was, but I'd guess around the 200 mark, including 25 or so from 'down south'. I'm probably not the best person to comment on the tactical pro's or con's of the teams performance as I generally spend most of the match nattering about much ado about nothing to several people, however, for a change I did watch a decent amount of the match today and I've got to say that a draw would have been just about right. Boro matched Clitheroe(3rd from top, as the song goes, "your havin' a laugh") throughout the whole match, Considering we've lost three players to injury for a few weeks/months the performance today was fantastic, with both keepers pulling off some excellent saves and the game really could have gone either way. Pies were great, despite being a little cold (how many times must the canteen staff have re-run the story about having only one pie warmer because the other one burst into flames last tuesday.....I heard it three times, and I only went in there twice). Programme, as ever was complete and utter garbage, easily the worst in the league. The pitch proved that it actually DOES have grass on it..... never seen it before to be honest. £7 quid for adults to get in and free for under 14's representing average pricing for the league....... Little unusual to charge £2 for 14-17 year olds......paid £7 to get in and was told "well that's for you- what about your lad ?" He was 13....6 weeks ago....."yeah right", came the disbelieving response.......miserable git. Anyway, we move on. Rochdale/aka Castleton Gabriels away on tuesday.

Great report boroshop, we totaly dominated the first half in terms of possesion and chances. Great save from a Sammo bullit, 25 yd chip from Roscoe beat the goalie all ends up but not the post. Won numerous corners for once, but as of late didn't get the rub of the green. 2nd half was more of an even contest, but for me again we lacked a quality final ball in and although we play some good midfield footy we seem to dwell on the ball when a break is on. A simple defencive mistake gave Clitheroe their first goal when realy the ball should have ended up in the local pond. Last 10 mins saw Boro push forward, we got cought with a long punt forward wich ended up a one on one and a Clitheroe 2nd. For all that it was a decent display cosidering the amount of injuries we have at the moment. Culkin again was topdraw, with some superb saves.
