As if Saturday's result wasn't bad enough (although grossly unfair by all accounts) to hear that Steeeeve Howsoooon and Ben Wharton will be out for THE SEASON is devastating.....and then to find out that Chris Makin has had to hang up his boots because of recurring injury problems!!!!!.....what a dreadful start to the season!
We wish you well on the recovery trail Steve and Ben.....and good luck for the future Chris.....now I think I'll go and quietly kill myself somewhere!....well maybe not QUIETLY!

Yes - really bad news. Add to that Griff's health problems. Not good for them as individuals, not good for the team! There can't be many clubs in our league who lose 4 top players right at the start of the season.

A goalkeeping error put on the back foot early on, simple lob into an empty goal. Goals change games, 2 identical penaltys were taken, both low down to the left, boro's was saved, skem's went in. 2 down against Skem is always gonna be difficult, we played well in patches, but silly mistakes at this level will always be punished. Looking disorganised and seemingly lacking in communication with the goalkeeper Skem headed in a third goal. Boro did pull one back with Reece finishing a Roscoe flick on then Skem finished off on a high with a through ball poorley cleared by Rooney to give their 4th. Again individual errors thwarted Boro when really we have some great players on board that are better than the results reflect at the moment. Early days, dissapointing start, individual errors, I'm sure Kev and Gerry will weedle out and tweek in and Boro will get there. Skem always have a decent side and are always there or there abouts at the end of the season. ............IN A ROUNDABOUT SORT OF WAY.
